THE PERFECT LOOK FOR SPRING SUMMER

YES PLEASE.. ONE FOR ME
LOVE THIS. LOVE THIS.LOVE THIS.

JIMON - MAGAZINE the freedom to create.

Creator of JIMON - MAGAZINE: MR JIMON AFRAMIAN

To my followers of all things fashion and arts... today I would like to introduce to you an independent bible, making it's own stance and calling in the world of the 'real and imaginative' creative world of fashion and arts! xo.

Globally read by every fashion and arts and non fashion and arts minds, the life sized and over sized JIMON - MAGAZINE is in a world of epic 'creativeness'.
Such an expression of artistic minds and creative vision could only have been given birth from someone with an impenetrable eye for 'freedom', freedom to create, freedom to imagine, freedom to realise potential and the freedom to release.... helping others to release their creative souls. This unearthing concept bore its beginnings from a man known as JIMON ( hence the self titled JIMON - Magazine), he is the living creative soul who has created this new freedom to express, without limits.

From my understanding, and from questions answered by JIMON ( the man himself) when asked why he created JIMON?, the reasoning was simple; He saw an opportunity.. the opportunity to allow the creative talents within the city of Los Angeles ( which is where the Mag is created) to express themselves freely, without the 'dictatorship' qualities and restrictions of a governed industry. ( Have I excited your taste buds?, to all the creative juices within your body,... doesn't it sound absolutely delicious and impossible at the same time, that you could have your 'own right' to express your creative vision in an ultimate ode to fashion and arts Glossy.. the way you want it to be seen, felt and heard? xoxo.)

The great JIMON ( all persons with the ability to see further than the offering and create a new one.. is 'great') excels from a background of photography specialising in areas of life and ultimately fashion photography.. which lead to the birth of JIMON - MAGAZINE.
Known widely to many as a 'COLLECTABLE' piece of visionary works. JIMON - MAGAZINE
strays away from the 'usually expected', and instead caters for the 'usually unexpected'. JIMON - MAGAZINE enters the creative space only two times a year, this alone creates that everlasting preservation of the first JIMON - MAGAZINE that one collects. JIMON states, that "it's mostly the content and format and that the focus on fashion photography, which makes it timeless". ( I agree ).

Its pages creates that notion of feeling the true inspirations of the 'creative mind'. Admired by many, JIMON - MAGAZINE has gained and has met the approval ( not that it needs any) of individual minds within industries from arts and fashion schools and to those who teach it.

When asked about the philosophy of the JIMON MAGAZINE and what message does it portray, JIMON answered "Jimon magazine is proving to create a platform where the artist can do what she/he wants without being dictated by editors/sponsors or advertisers. BASICALLY COMPLETE ARTISTIC FREEDOM (DNA OF A TRUE ARTIST )" - JIMON AFRAMIAN

So to my fellow fashion followers, have I stirred that feeling of 'wanting'?, if not, then sadly you will be depriving yourself of appreciating the myriad artistic fashion minds of JIMON - MAGAZINE creatives.

JIMON-MAGAZINE can be found globally and its Issue 2 release for Australia is set for late September.

In the meantime cast your eyes on http://www.jimon-magazine.com/
Australia feeling the beats of JIMON - MAGAZINE coming our way!

My last thought for this entry: Although JIMON - MAGAZINE travels to our creative spaces in Australia. The mere possibility that a JIMON - MAGAZINE AUSTRALIA seems not impossible.. I am sure all the creative minds in Australia reading this RIGHT NOW, will be thinking of the sheer excitement of having an opportunity to have that artistic fashion freedom to create and release in a non governed editorial ship setting. xoxo. Imagine how many hands would show up if all the fashion creatives of Australia could participate in such a concept... GO FOR YOUR LIFE! xo.

GINA KIM - HER CURRENT COLLECTION, REFLECTING PORTIONS OF ASYMMETRICAL ELEMENTS.

This is Gina Kim - Designer and creator of the self titled feminine label, 'Gina Kim'.
This is the creative visual journey of Gina Kims current collection.
The distinct portrayal of Spring Summer elements repeats itself throughout the Gina Kim current collection. Reminiscent of Spring Summer evenings, her designs reflect a very ready to wear, nonchalant style.

Ever since Gina Kim launched her 'ready to wear' talents, she has tapped into a very in demand market for her label. ( Bravo )

Creatively intellectual, with the spirit and skill to conform to all global seasons and trends, her success is international.

Drifting predominantly away from a saturation of floor length sweeping creations (bar one in her ready to wear collection, Gina Kim has tailored a wardrobe for the stylish feminine fashion muse of the 21st century.

Reinterpreting through her own creative eye, her 'single shoulder designs have been created with continuous rouging - gathering, layering and purposely designed to reflect a very stylish and flattering 'asymmetrical' view. ( I love these designs xo)

Toying with a combination of colour palettes and prints. Her creations emulate ice colours, electric tones and the odes to black and white or black with white.

Gina Kim designs have been draped, and adorned by many fashion lovers worldwide.

Renowned for her reputable longevity within the fashion industry of Australia and globally ( Spain, U.S., and Korea) Gina Kim this season has surpassed the fashion lovers expectations of interpreting the current climates of Australia.

MONSIEUR LE DUC EVAN CZAR - MAN OF CREATIVE FASHION INFLUENCE

Monsieur Le Duc Evan Czar - International fashion correspondent for VOGUE Brazil.

I appreciate the creative minds that put input into our fashionable universe, I appreciate those who aren't afraid to immerse themselves in what they do best and in turn their creativity becomes infectious to almost everyone, which then puts us all into the lull of a 'fashion coma' ( fashion coma - the state of rocking in between two worlds, the 'real world' and the 'perception world' awakening to one or both).

Only the greatest creative minds have the innate talent to wander amongst the many beings to create a frenzy of fashion dictatorship and fashion coma. These creative souls ( in pure living form) predict, forecast, create, report, discover, interpret and make the fashion world exist, evolve and revolve.

One creative soul wandering amongst us on the other side of the globe is a man of many minds, a man who interprets 'himself' as being his hidden talent. He is the man who discovers and rediscovers fashion for one of the worlds most coveted high glossy fashion bibles.. VOGUE ( Brazil ). He is: Monsieur Le Duc Evan Czar, international fashion correspondent, he sources the best and recognises only the best in fashion talents globally.

Ladies and gentleman, hold Mr Evan Czar's hand and you'll be transported into a world of fashion frenzy. His mind is like a time machine, travelling back and forth into creative dimensions, conforming to styles and designs which best interpret the most individual soul. He appears to be built entirely from a buzz of collective attributes; eccentric - ism, charisma, confidence and 'don't mess with me' attitude.

He is extremely self assured and assertive; declaring that he is a "chameleon of style and fashion, If I wake up and feel like to be a rock n roll star, then that's it! I become one!". Monsieur Le Duc Evan Czar is definately one man who knows that the interpretation of fashion comes from deep in the soul, and that fashion is individual. He is always on the path to look for the best in what you have to offer from the depths of your creative bones.

Over a fashion conversation, Monsieur Evan Czar says that he believes the "Australian fashion industry is filled with so much talent and energetic designers", which I then interpreted as; that he approves of the direction in which the Australian fashion creative(s) are heading in. He only has one request; and that is he wishes to witness more colour in the Australian fashion industry ( but I guess that's the youthful insight and Brazilian ode to fashion that he has running through him.. xoxo)

My dear friend, M.E.Czar and I have agreed to share our fashion discoveries, likes and dislikes from both sides of the fashion globe ( like that of two fashion identities having conversations about what makes fashion and what 'kills' it) and with this... a new fashion influence has emerged.

The Brazilian fashion man of influence is currently as you read this, in the land of JAPAN, soaking up the vibrant, electric fashion cultures in the underground fashion emporium. Monsieur Le Duc Evan Czar is indeed a man of fashion influence.

MBFF - a refreshing change in atmoshpere

Congratulations to the team at LBM ( Lindsay Bennett Marketing )this year!

In it's fifth year, it would be the ultimate testament to say, or should I say to declare, that the annual MBFF was the best one ever to be staged in Brisbane.

No Hotel lobby style parades, no school formal type set ups ( 2009 ), but instead, this year..2010, MBFF has taken the giant leap to up its game and present to the fashionable entourage of Brisbane, a fashion festival which I can so proudly say.. is right on par, next to its sister cities of Sydney and Melbourne!.

It was refreshing to witness, the high calibre of creative direction presented at this years showing. The grand marquee setting, oozing style and stage sophistication, a backdrop which was so befitting for every piece of creation making its debut in a professional parade setting down the 'oh so forever metres long runway carpet'.

This year, seated amongst other fashion lovers alike, I felt truly immersed in a 'fashion scene', lights, camera and action!.

A standing ovation to Mr LB and his team this year, for staging a showing which deserves an encore from all of us. xo

MBFF is saved. xoxo

CREATIVE SOULS

Beginning next week, a series of entries about the creative souls wandering amongst
us globally.... 'influential fashion minds'.

Beginning with Monsieur Le Duc Evan Czar ( VOGUE BRAZIL ).

Sleep well my lovelies xo.

MR TOM O'CONNOR - CHANGING BRISBANES FASHION SCENE

image: vogue.com.au
Mr Tom O'connor- Creative Director, Felix & Slink

Young
Polished
Debonair
Gentleman
Creatively Wise

After clicking away at the Mbff Schwarzkopf Professional Hair and Fashion Show... I made my way to the much talked about and anticipated YEDP ( Young Emerging Designers Party) organised by the Felix and Slink ( group ), masterminded by its Creative Director Mr Tom O'connor, and sponsored by a bevvy of heavy fashion players within the industry.

Keeping to its strict ticketed event policy... if your name was not on the list, then 'slim', would have been your chances of entering into this 'exclusive' soiree.

The atmosphere was 'fanciful'... I truly felt that I was in an episode of 'Gossip Girls', where the young and elite fashion minds of today and tomorrow were mingling amongst themselves, clinking flutes of bubbly and cheek to cheek air kisses smothering the atmosphere.

Pee Wee Herman style clad preppy's to the left of me........, a fashionista dressed to resemble that of part sailor moon ( the cartoon character ) and part little miss muffet who sat on a tuffet.. but looking absolutely stylish xx, to the right of me. The air was a buzz with creative minds thinking aloud.

The YEDP was a night when the stylish elite young guns... (along with the experienced players...) came out to frolick and play in the lounge room of Laruche.

I departed after the showcase parade.... but was there long enough to have come to the conclusion that Mr Tom O'connor is indeed extremely clever, I believe that he has only just begun casting his great creative eye onto Brisbane, and that he is influencing a new wave of 'social party etiquette'.

It is safe for me to predict that Mr Tom O'connor has definately raised a 'new bar' in the social scene of Brisbane, and that any event Mr Tom O'connor organises or collaborates with will surely be a 'must attend' event from here on........xox. Felix & Slink.. possibly in demand. Or should I say Mr Tom O'Connor highly in demand.

Madam AE xx

Ready, Set.......Go!!! xo

Part 1. Pulled up my boots and made my way to the Mbff Schwarzkopf Professional Hair and Fashion Show. Showcase - Gail Sorronda, Subfusco, Maxi & Bruce ( Store), YoungDesignersOnline.com.au and Bettina Liano.

My notes to the following; ( Images and Dear Notes are in no particular order xx)

Dear Gail ( Gail Sorronda Label),

Parisian flair once again well executed!. The Boudoir theme was befitting with each creation resembling that of a street Parisian queen... : half regal, half sultry, bouffant, bouffant, bouffant & bouffant!

Love Madam Ae (k) ..

Dear YoungDesignersOnline.com.au,

I was balancing on the feeling that YDO may have achieved more, if showcased in a Student category? or new emerging talent category?( if there is or was one)... however it is noted that YDO is a concept.. and that it highlights the YDO concept with the designers under it.

Honestly, I think by placing the concept of YDO amongst and along side designers like Subfusco, Gail Sorronda and Bettina Liano, this didn't highlight the greatness of the YDO concept, but instead, slightly overshadowed it..... However, bravo for YDO's first Mbff showcase. I still believe that YDO has great potential to assist young designers in Australia to find ground and 'fashion existence' online. ( Madam Ae. always in appreciation to those who provide input and impact ) xo.

I loved Neon Heartache as always. Shardie is one to keep an eye on, I think. xo.

Love Madam Ae (k)
Dear Mr Joshua S. ( SUBFUSCO),

The show truly felt like JUST a SUBFUSCO show, given how many Subfusco creations made its presence on the runway. It was great to witness the images come alive in real time.

Although the feeling of a galactic world ( as previously repeatedly reflected through style and design) was not visually focused upon, I could still feel the creative energy and mind of the Subfusco world. As suggested earlier, enter and exit effortlessly from one world to the next.

Love Madam Ae (k)
