Madam Alexandra E. is ooooohhhhing and ahhhhing over the strappy colour candy foot forms!!!!! Love... Would love to grab a pair for XMAS!!!. Move over the Choo's for now.xoxo.

'CRITIC' - A TERM USED LOOSELY

Each time Madam Alexandra E is asked to do an interview.........I become quite hesitant.. because the angle of the story is usually in your favour... or against??.

As critics..... the term being used quite loosely... people tend to jump to the conclusion that all we are set out to do.. is to 'tear down, break up and destroy' the subject of our review!

This could be so far from the truth......!!! ( In my truth anyway). Madam Alexandra E. dishes out creative criticism. Opinions and thoughts which simply state the obvious... but never with any intention to disintegrate or destroy!!! Mwah xoxo.

But instead always with the good fashion heart to provide feedback... to the 'creative' .. in order to excel and move forward. I always say to many emerging designers who have written in to me for advice... that, 'praise is good... but it will only make you jump so high, but not to your ultimate limit', 'judgement on the other hand.. will move you forward... help you to reassess what you already are best at, and how can you make it even better????

How else do the greatest designers in the world become the upper echelons of their industry??, through finding out what their 'fashion followers/ lovers/ appreciators' want!... At times the information/ review may be hard to swallow.... but swish it down with a good latte/ tea/ champer ( whichever you prefer).... sleep on it.. and put the creative brain into gear.. to apply!

My critic tongue is used merely to better what is already considered the 'best'/'unique'/ 'creative'..... within the industry.

CHERRY MORRIS - SOMETHING THAT NYC WOULD LAP UP!

Introducing.....CHERRYMORRIS! . A striking hardcore brand specialising in statement belts and brooches.

I must admit, Madam Alexandra E is not a 'big' fan of the waist belt craze. But this little company certainly could not be overlooked.

Recently I had the pleasure of admiring these unique pieces at a fashion do. Let me declare,...... materials are lux and the quality is 'sturdy'!


I can so picture the Cherry Morris brooches adorned on this season's Alexander Wang female tailored jackets..... or if you can't get your hands on an Alexander Wang thing.. then just decorate your own suit jacket or cardy...

Picture this.... even for the daring 'maleista' ( fashionista but in male form)... tight rat like jeans....worn with a Subfusco tight T........ ( have you seen their latest collection??? collective species or something????... to do die for.. for the male man.. searching for something very uniquely new york street style like artsy.....( that's another story).

Back to the outfit... drape over papa's cardigan.. and stick a Cherry Morris brooch on it. Style with flare..... oohh and don't forget the boots... or shiny patents is also suffice.. or even just your good old volleys.... footwear is explorable for the maleista.


Funk/ style up one of your well tailored office ensembles with a Cherry Morris belt... but only if you have the fashion confidence!

Loving the detailed pewter casting... and get this,ladies.. suck in the waists and hold your breath.....all made by hand! and created from genuwine.. ( genuine) leather.... hmmm sniff the fresh leather.

Personally.. Madam Alexandra E. would most likely belt it up in a thin hip belt... .... that's as daring as I would go. Yes, yes, call me conservative what you may.. or what you will. It's personal taste and style really.

I say.. watch out for this little Sydney company... I can so see the NYC's fashionista's lapping it up with their oversize arm candy's.

I wonder if Cherry Morris have thought about creating the little things as cuffs? or leather bracelets????? hmm idea comeing along! . Mwah xoxo.

SOMETHING FASHIONABLY NEW IS BREATHING TO LIFE ........COMING SOON..

A certain whisper.. told me that a little new concept was breathing its way to life in the sleepy state of Brissy ( Brisbane) in the faraway country of Australia ( for my international fashion lovers).

This so called 'concept'..... is not all that unique.. but it is definately adding a bit of fashion offerings to Brisbanites. Hint... something to do with that new fashion phenomenon of 'renting' fashion pieces?????!!!!... Have you guessed it yet?

They say 'COMING SOON'...... so I guess the little birdies will just have to wait.

Don't worry fashion lovers... my critic tongue will be heard on this concept... once it's born! Mwah xoxo.

FINALLY... QUEENSLAND IS PAYING ATTENTION TO THE STYLIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSHHHH! ( QUEENSLAND'S 50 MOST STYLISH)

From my fashion throne.. and sipping on something bitterly decadent???? and in my comfy Peeptoe shoes.. ( if inch high heels.. could possibly be comfortable?)... I turned my attention to a very big article spread...in a certain Queensland news publication......

Paying tribute to STYLE!!!.... a list of Queensland's 50 Most Stylish. Finally!!! finally!!! finally good old Queensland is picking up the 'style beat!'. This is fantastic... drawing more attention to the dying breed and need on and everything about fashion..... and yes.. style is a big factor. XO.

I cringed a certain mentions of supposed styling identities...... a few I probably would prefer not to mention.. but I am quite certain that they know they weren't really worthy of being on the list....but somehow crept in by sheer... fate????!.

The list would have been very open ended.... depending on the style expectations of the judging panel of course!!!!.. but hey.. I'm not here to tell anybody how to do their job... just as long as it's done correctly that's all!!!!! xoxo.

Very agreeable to the choice of Gail Reid, Miranda Kerr and Kelly Atkinson ( the above image). Lux Lux Lux indeed!

I will forgive the judges choice of including that lady who fronts the face of the 'Suncorp Ad'????? she's so stylishly known that I can't even recall her name??? except for the fact that she reminds me similarly to that of 'Rhonda Burchmore'????? ( entertainer???).

Bravo for the Queensland attention on the style go getters!!!. Becoming all fashionably political... Style and fashion culture is very much influenced and manoeuvred by the media and fashion publications....... so I say... crawl out of your safe ways.. and report on the true juicy of style!!!.. give the Brisbanites...a hint of New York styling??????? it is possible you know!!, but only with group action. Mwah xoxoxo

p.s. The list wasn't great great great.... but I, Madam Alexandra E. is just purely excited that 'style' is plucked and put on the radar!

LOOKY HERE - NEW ONLINE FASHION HIRE, "MY FASHION AFFAIR - the affair worth having"... so they say.

Looky here.....look what has burst onto our online fashion offerings???. A concept titled "MY FASHION AFFAIR" from the fashion brain of a certain Charlie De Haas.

Stunning webby darling.. very dramatic and standout image.. and loving the punch line.... of 'My Fashion Affair... The affair worth having...'. Anything to do with fashion.. is definately a love affair not to be taken lightly with! xo.

Although the concept is definately not one of the first to be introduced to all fashionista's, it is however a fashion offering.. catering to the need of obviously something missing???.

Catering to the whims of those who obviously have a yearning to indulge in fashion constantly... but the purse strings not necessarily to keep up with it. Rental of high end garments is the motto of "MY FASHION AFFAIR". Just like a dvd rental... rent and return at maximum speed!.

Personally.... I, Madam Alexandra E. believes that rental of fashion fareings is a little bit .... well..... I don't know.. kind of like borrowing a book from the library!.. too many hands and bodys in it, holding it etc... ( but of course I am sure it is well cleaned before you rent anyway). I much prefer to make a purchase.. and who really bothers if it sits in my lovely wardrobe for the next season????... If anything.. when you relaunch it again in another fashion cycle.. it would most likely be known as vintage! ( which is very 'fashionable' at the moment!)xoxo.

But to all those fashionista's who luv that quick turn around of fashion individuality.. then 'My Fashion Affair' would have to be your cup of tea!. Stocking all labels from Camilla & Marc to that of Brisbanites very own fashion entrant Juli Grbac......and I am quite certain.. soon to come... much much more.

Similar to its other online rental neighbours such as 'Dressed up' and 'Princess fashion house' which has been around long before My Fashion Affair.. adopted this rental fashion concept. So really what have I to say of this fashion addiction?.... If it worked for Dressed up and Princess fashion house... then I'm pretty content in saying... it will most likely work for My Fashion affair!!!!!

My critic tongue???... why not?.... it's fashion, it's unique, it's catering to a market.... so why not?.
But then again... it never really tickles my fancy.. the whole addiction to swap nights and hiring fashion??? ... but I do respect the 'fashion needs of others'......Mwah xoxo.

FINALLY... THE LIMES HOTEL.. OWN M-CUP OFFERINGS!!!!!

Ta da!!!!, finally...... after a whirlwind.. round the clock on assignment moment.... I , Madam Alexandra E. presents to you the latest report on a much to do and much talked about fashion faring event.. in the sleepy, but vibrant for a day.. suburbs of Brisbane.

To my international fashionista's... Melbourne cup day.. is a day of 'horse racing'... but to a fashion lover... the importance is really focused on the fashion. For fashion lovers... putting on the best fashion showings and 'fascinators'.... 'head pieces.. adorning the crowns of femme fatale's!.... for a day.. you can truly wear your own crown and be the fashionable queen you have always wanted to be!Mwah xoxo.
Hectic would have to be the day.....slick this, slick that, pin this, pin that.. strap on this, strap on that, zip this, zip that, and dab this and dab that. Just a complete wish wash of fashionable action.. all for the much anticipated annual Australian 'racing day' event.. the M- Cup ( Melbourne Cup).

Of course the fashion offerings would have been at its best in the host City... but hey.. lets just give Brisbanites a go.. and see what they can offer.

Boy what a degree of swelter it was!....hot hot hot... ! Fashionista's if you didn't have good coverage.. then you would have melted like a candle! (I am referring to the 'face palette coverage').

I, Madam Alexandra E. was invited to be guest judge for the fashion offerings at the Limes' Hotel...own staging of a M- cup day festivity ( Lime's fashions on the field), along with the major presence of style man, t.v personality himself... Mr Mike Goldman as host. We both would have agreed that up on stage it felt like a degree of 'pizza ovens'... we both would have also agreed that with Mike's MC offerings and my pick of the fashion bunch... a few fashionista's went home proud as punch with their winnings!.

The day started off absolute cruisey...... yes cruisey... with thanks to the talented voice offering of Mr Goldman and his ultra cool persona and humour..... yes confidence is beautiful.. and so is style! Was Mr Goldman styliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish?????, from my critic tongue... I would declare yes!!. very befitting for such an event.

My critic tongue on the complete package of the Limes event???????. I would have to say.. it was staged very well!, rooftop....good music... good food ( although I barely had time to drink... let alone eat), and good old Brisbanite company!. Definately a stylish affair with that Brisbanite influence.

Although I would have liked to see the fashion followers 'dress up' just a tad bit more. M - cup to me... represents dressing up in style.. something completely out of the norm of your so called 'clubbing.. or bar gear'. Unfortunately.... too many club going outfits... as opposed to true M - cup style offerings. But.. alas... still a sea of fashion efforts floating everywhere. xoxo.

The atmosphere was oh so relaxed and chilled... but technically temperature HOT!.... but hey it didn't stop the crowds from enjoying the odd champer, wine and mixed concoctions of this and that sippers.

Bravo... to Limes Hotel.. for putting on an atmosphere brimming with fashion appreciators...not so appreciators..and good conversation gatherings.

JUDITH LEIBER CLUTCHES.. BETTER FOR DISPLAY THAN TO BE HELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the museum of Judith Leiber!. Well actually... there is no real museum... just a visual museum today.. from I, Madam Alexandra E.

Judith Leiber..... a veteran.. handbag tailor!... hailing from the U.S of A!... with the companylaunching in 1963. Now retired... Judith Leiber.. her company still manages to hold strong.. if not, even better.. than when she actually played an active part in it!.

Feast your eyes on these crystal embellished creations!!!!!!. Eccentric arm candies ( hand bags, clutches, purses.. etc.. whatever you want to call it) indeed.

Taking the U.S of A market by absolute storm! But for some reason.. not really holding my hand??????

Too nice to display as an ornament in Grandma's glass cabinet.. or your own display shelf..., but too impractical to sashay around your torso or clasp under your hand ( but then again.. many fashionable things are too impractical, but we sacrifice impracticality for the sake of fashion anyway.



Never the less.... celebs in the land of H.O.L.L.Y.W.O.O.D... are embracing the Judith Leiber... collection of fantasy clutches.. ... as a unique showing of fashionable art!

Still........not particularly my cup of tea.... even if the Leiber company made for Madam Moi...( Alexandra E ) a red notebook clutch!.... but then again I might accept if it was a crystal encrusted version of my 'fashion throne'!.....( I wouldn't wear it, but instead just display it). xoxo.

MMMM.. hoot hoot says the owl................... Much too adorable to look it... as opposed to wear!

And what could one possibly fit in the odd shaped clutch????? a lippy, that's about it!

But hey.... my critic tongue says...... bravo to the Leiber company for thinking 'outside' of the fashion box!......I believe the Australian version for a Judith Leiber clutch.. would have to be the Swarovski company!!!!... ( which evidently probably provides crystals for the creation of Leiber arm candies!!!!!!!!).
